Onsite Contract General
LabKey provides data management solutions to help researchers tackle some of today’s most challenging problems. At LabKey you'll work in a dynamic, hands-on environment with real ownership, autonomy, and direct impact on the products we deliver to our customers.
We are seeking a hands-on Test Engineering Manager with a demonstrated commitment to quality and the ability to lead while contributing directly to day-to-day work. This is a true player-coach role where you will mentor and develop others while staying deeply involved in the test engineering work.

The right candidate is a leader who places high value on quality, contributes directly to the team's daily work and would rather build than delegate. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, you will manage a strong team of two test engineers while remaining an active contributor.

You’ll lead the test strategy, deciding what and how we test across our SaaS and on-premise products, help shape forward-looking technical solutions, and work closely with engineering and other teams to ensure alignment on priorities, strategy, and roadmaps.

Most of your time will go to hands-on test engineering: designing and writing automated tests, digging into failures, and building forward-looking solutions that make our testing faster, more comprehensive, and more trustworthy. Test Strategy and Implementation

Understanding of performance and scalability testing.

Accessibility conformance testing against WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508.
Testing for concurrency defects, including race conditions, deadlocks, and transaction isolation issues.
Familiarity with AWS and production telemetry and monitoring.
Experience in scientific, clinical, or research software environments.
