Test Engineering ManagerThe Test Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the implementation and sustainment of manufacturing test solutions in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role manages a team of engineers and technicians while driving world-class product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The Test Engineering Manager works closely with various engineering groups, manufacturing, quality, and customers to ensure reliable test solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team ManagementLead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Test Engineering organization.Manage staffing, performance evaluations, training, and succession planning.Promote a culture of safety, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.Test Strategy & DevelopmentLead the design, validation, and deployment of:ICT (In-Circuit Test)Functional Test (FCT)Boundary Scan (JTAG)Ensure test coverage meets customer quality and reliability requirements while minimizing manufacturing costs.Manufacturing SupportProvide technical leadership to resolve production test failures.Improve first-pass yield (FPY), throughput, and equipment utilization.Analyze test data to identify recurring issues and implement corrective actions.Support root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies.Continuous ImprovementLead Lean Manufacturing and Improvement projects on:Test coverageFalse failure ratesCost of Test (CoT)Customer SupportServe as the technical interface for customers regarding manufacturing test solutions.Participate in customer design reviews and technical audits.Support failure analysis and reliability investigations.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner closely with:Various EngineeringQuality EngineeringOperationsCustomer EngineeringQualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.Master's degree is a plus.Experience5 years of electronics manufacturing experience.5 years of engineering leadership or management experience.Strong background supporting EMS in SMT PCBA and system integration.Technical SkillsManufacturing test development and deploymentICT, Functional Test, Flying Probe, Boundary Scan, SLTNI LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++, Python, or similar programming languagesStatistical Process Control (SPC)Design for Testability (DFT)FMEA, DOE, GR&R, and Root Cause AnalysisBenefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
