Test EngineerSearching for a Test Engineer in NC, SC, GA, AL, TX. The Test Engineer is responsible for lab systems, networks, data acquisition, instrumentation and ensuring calibrations are set to applicable standards.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoots and investigates the analysis of problems relating to the design and operations of the test cells.Verify laboratory equipment is current with respect to calibration.Assist with designing systems for lab or other production functions.Set up products for test and perform all necessary steps to conduct prescribed and specialized tests.Investigate and troubleshoot test equipment related problems and opportunities, document findings and recommend corrective/improvement changes to Design Engineering.Design and upkeep of lab data acquisitions systems and support test data management.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering or related field.Experience with test equipment, lab systems, process controls and associated processes.Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment.Demonstrated ability or formal training in LabVIEW or similar programming software for test automation.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures.Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a matrix team environment.Preferred Qualifications:Accreditation for ANSI and/or UL gas related certification and demonstrated ability to complete certification submittal packages preferred.Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, six sigma, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), AutoCad, Pro-E, PLC's and controls.Experience with Pro-E is desired.Experience in working with governing certification agencies preferred.
