Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Lab support, manual video/STB testing, device setup and troubleshooting, test execution, defect reporting, and support of automated test environments

Skills:

• 4G LTE, 5G (SA/NSA and FR1/FR2) technologies,
• Hands-on device or lab testing; manual QA; functional and regression testing; basic IP/networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting; set-top-box, video, IPTV/OTT or connected-device testing experience preferred; basic Linux, scripting or automation exposure desirable
• The Video QA / Lab Test Engineer shall perform activities including, but not limited to:
• Support the setup, configuration, connectivity, movement and ongoing readiness of set-
• top boxes and associated test equipment within the lab environment.
• Perform manual functional, regression and video testing of set-top boxes and related video services.
• Troubleshoot device, cabling, connectivity, Wi-Fi and test-environment issues.
• Execute defined test scenarios, document test results, identify defects and support retesting and validation.
• Support the physical environment required for remote and automated test execution.
• Assist with Raspberry Pi-connected devices and other test infrastructure used within the lab.
• Coordinate with DISH and distributed QA/engineering teams regarding test execution,environment availability and identified issues.
• Perform other reasonable QA and lab-support activities related to the Services described in this SOW.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Hands-on device or lab testing; manual QA; functional and regression testing; basic IP/networking and Wi-Fi troubleshooting; set-top-box, video, IPTV/OTT or connected-device testing experience preferred; basic Linux, scripting or automation exposure desirable.
