Test Engineer Level 2As a Test Engineer Level 2 at Independent Software, you will support and execute system test and evaluation (T&E) activities for mission-critical programs. You will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and conducting test events, as well as collecting and analyzing performance data to support system validation and decision-making. You will apply test methodologies, statistical analysis, and modeling and simulation techniques to evaluate system performance.
In this role, you will work more independently and contribute to test planning, execution, and reporting efforts.Key Responsibilities:Support the planning and execution of test and evaluation (T&E) activitiesDevelop and execute test plans, procedures, and evaluation strategiesCollect, analyze, and interpret performance data to support system assessmentsApply statistical analysis methods to evaluate system performance and confidence levelsSupport Modeling and Simulation activities for test and evaluation purposesAnalyze performance risks and contribute to test planning and decision-makingCoordinate and participate in test events, including readiness and execution activitiesDevelop evaluation plans, reports, and supporting documentationSupport configuration and data management for test activitiesAssist in developing data collection strategies and analysis frameworksParticipate in working groups and coordinate with stakeholders across teamsProvide recommendations based on test results and analysisRequired Skills and Qualifications:Experience supporting test and evaluation (T&E) activities and methodologiesExperience collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for system evaluationKnowledge of statistical analysis techniques and performance evaluation methodsFamiliarity with Modeling and Simulation conceptsAbility to develop and follow test plans, procedures, and documentationStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related discipline from an accredited college or universityFive (5) years of experience as a Test Engineer or in a related field on programs of similar scope, type, and complexityORFour (4) additional years of test or related experience may be substituted for a degreeClearance Requirement:Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role**This position is contingent on contract award** Why Choose Independent Software: At Independent Software, our people are the mission.
