Job TitlePosition's Contributions to Work Group:This position will involve performing validation for a variety of embedded electronic/software systems which may include short-range wireless (Bluetooth), vision systems, and/or other miscellaneous software features. This will involve working with systems and software teams to create test plans, perform tests, and report/document test results. This job will also require working with systems and software teams to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with the team's work products.
This person will also build and maintain electronic systems test benches. This includes evaluating test bench requirements, designing the electrical and mechanical implementation, fabricating electrical harnesses, working with team to procure parts, and implementing the test bench design.Typical Day in the Role Typical task breakdown:Perform validation activities for a variety of embedded electronic/software systems which may include short-range wireless (Bluetooth), vision systems, and/or other miscellaneous software featuresCreate test plans, perform tests, and report/document test resultsInvestigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues with the team's work products.Build and maintain electronic systems test benchesParticipate in Agile-based project planning processInteraction with team:Work with systems and software team to define test requirementsWrite test plans and review with teamReport on test results with verbal and written reportsCollect test bench requirement, communicate design plans and project status to the teamParticipate in Agile-based project planning processWork environment:Hybrid work schedule possible when work allows. Three days per week in the office is required.
Additional days in the office may be required depending on requirements of work activitiesCandidate Requirements Education & Experience Required:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or similar engineering degree2+ years experience in the validation of embedded electronic systems and softwareTechnical Skills (Required):Experience with validation of embedded electronic systems and softwareHighly proficient with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANape, etc.)Extensive experience with Controller Area Networks (CAN)Experience validating Bluetooth-based systemsAbility to build electrical harnesses
