Test Engineer IILocation: Inglewood, CA, USCompany: Marvin Engineering Co.FLSA Status: ExemptPay Range: $80,000 - $105,000Position Summary:Responsible to provide direction for the completion of developing test practices, and to ensure compliance to contractual test requirements through the development of: processes, plans, procedures, automation, electrical, and mechanical testing devices and fixtures to execute product testing. Assist and on occasion lead in test project and support in the development of new project test readiness review and supports project to completion.Responsibilities:Assist and on occasion lead in test project: design, development, training, and production release.Ensures proper test-related documentation is completed, verified, and approved.Includes test processes, equipment, test programs and fixtures.Proficient at preparing and compiling test reports including: data analysis, results, test validation / verification.Writes test plans and test procedures that meets product requirements utilizing VCRM; trains test personnel and verifies training effectiveness.Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of: test systems, circuits, components, harnesses, instruments, and mechanical assemblies.Performs test incident / failure and root cause analysis, implements corrective action, and verifies effectiveness of corrective action.Demonstrates time management and communication utilizing tools and processes to complete tasks and projects on time.Reads and understands: technical drawings, procedures, and Mil-Spec industry standards.Prepares, performs and compiles reports for tests including data analysis, results, test validation / verification.Develop and utilize technical knowledge of product line testing and proactively collaborates with stakeholders to share and gain knowledge and solve problems.Support the development of new test program test readiness review.Skills / Requirements:Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the QMS Library. 4-year electrical engineering degree or equivalent, & 3 or more years of experience in a closely related technical field with mechanical engineering experience Hands-on experience with operation of Signal Generators, Power Meters, Oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot Testers & Cable Harness Testers Experience with EMI, RF, Analog, Digital Circuits in relation to test development; understanding of hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing Experience with developing production test systems Advanced schematic interpretation Ability to use precision measuring devices Solid documentation, organization, attention to details, and record keeping Ability to prioritize and organize tasks daily to meet deadline Knowledge and ability to comprehend engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams Demonstrated experience with customers' relations: strong communication skills Comprehensive knowledge of equipment utilized for testing, data acquisition, and programming languages such as C, C++, and/or LabVIEW Execution of tests in accordance with the quality system Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and procedures Understanding of RF, Analog, Digital Circuits in relation of test development, understanding of hardware test requirements for volume manufacturing theory knowledge Mid-level skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
