Test EngineerLocation: Fredericksburg, VA Pay: $90,000–$115,000 Job Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewM Force Partners is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to support the testing, validation, and development of advanced robotic systems, including robotic arms, unmanned ground vehicles, and other electromechanical products. This Test Engineer – Robotics role will be responsible for developing test plans, executing validation procedures, troubleshooting complex systems, and supporting product development from prototype through production.The ideal Test Engineer will have strong hands-on experience with electromechanical systems, instrumentation, data analysis, and technical documentation while working within a highly collaborative engineering environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute test plans, procedures, and protocols for robotic and electromechanical systemsSupport testing and validation of robotic arms, unmanned ground vehicles, and embedded control systemsPerform troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and control system domainsSelect and utilize test equipment and instrumentation to support product validation activitiesCollect, analyze, and document test data and performance resultsGenerate technical reports, test documentation, and validation recordsSupport prototype fabrication, integration, troubleshooting, and testing activitiesCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, and sales teams throughout product developmentCommunicate technical findings and recommendations to engineers, technicians, vendors, and customersSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to testing, product reliability, and system performanceManage assigned testing projects while meeting timelines and deliverablesSupport additional engineering and testing projects as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience testing electromechanical or robotic systemsBroad understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systemsExperience creating test plans, procedures, protocols, and technical documentationExperience using instrumentation and diagnostic tools such as: Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Logic analyzers, Force sensors, Acceleration sensorsExperience collecting, analyzing, and reporting technical dataAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematicsStrong troubleshooting and hands-on electromechanical assembly skillsStrong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and project management skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with robotic systems, autonomous vehicles, or unmanned ground vehiclesExperience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorksFamiliarity with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 testing standardsExperience with product development, prototype validation, and manufacturing supportExperience supervising or mentoring technicians and junior personnelJob Presented By M Force PartnersM Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
