The principles and drills of the CANOO Way have been fundamental to our success, our ability to grow, continuously improve, innovate and are at the core of our day-to-day operations.Job PurposeThe Test Engineer – Design will be responsible for developing and executing tests and equipment to validate that the company's products satisfy the requirements.Responsibilities (80s of the Position)Design and document test racks including equipment selection and harness drawings.Manage component suppliers and schedule for test racksAssist in the development of detailed DVP&R plans, including statistical confidence intervalsLead the scheduling and execution of test plans including acquiring quotes and availability at outside test housesWrite detailed test proceduresExecute test procedures: Hands-on in the labPost process data and publish test reports in a timely manner, to support the product development cycleUpdate DVPR with test execution dates and links to reportsEnsure all product issues are identified, logged, tracked, and resolved during each testing phaseGood communication with the rest of the organization when issues/failures ariseRequired ExperienceExperience with automotive standards (ISO 16750, CISPR 25, etc.)Experience working with National Instruments LabView and Test StandTechnical understanding and familiarity with automotive industry standards that covers environmental, mechanical, electrical aspects of validationFamiliarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet communicationsFamiliarity with NI cDAQ/PXI, VISA, XNET hardware and protocolsDevelop NI Labview drivers for hardware functional testsExperience working with electronic/electric systemsExperienced in troubleshooting and root cause analysis7+ years developing automated test equipment in the NI ecosystem3+ years developing scripts with NI Test StandNI CLD certification preferred.Physical Requirements for Non-Physical PositionsWhile performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.Reasonable AccommodationsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.What's Cool About Working Here...Meaningful, challenging work that will redefine automotive landscape and make EVs available to everyoneComprehensive Health InsuranceEquity CompensationFlexible Paid Time OffCasual workplace with an unbelievable feeling of energyCanoo is an equal opportunity-affirmative action employer and considers all qualified applicants for employment based on business needs, job requirements and individual qualifications, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, past or present military service or any other status protected by the laws or regulations in the locations where we operate.
