Journeymen Test EngineerApogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Journeymen Test Engineer to support the Space Force customer.As a Test Engineer on our Space Force team, you'll use your experience to work with developers and engineers to evaluate software developed for national defense. You'll create test plans with test cases based on user stories and requirements. Using automated and manual processes, you'll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.This is a full-time position at Peterson SFB, in Colorado Springs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases from user stories and system requirements; perform requirements analysis, synthesis, and maintain bidirectional traceability including test methods and success criteria.Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts, custom test harnesses, and data-generation tools using Python, Cypress, or similar frameworks; integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows.Execute manual and automated developmental and operational test events, collect and analyze test data, and evaluate functionality, reliability, performance, and user experience against acceptance criteria.Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments; work closely with developers to prioritize fixes and verify resolution through retesting.Use MBSE artifacts (Cameo, Rhapsody, SysML models) to align test coverage with system design and configurations; ensure tests reflect system changes and operational impacts while adhering to DoD Instructions and .Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test processes, maintain test documentation and reports, and contribute proactive recommendations to increase software quality and sustainment.QualificationsMinimum Experience:Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must have a minimum of a Secret clearance at time of application.
