Role DescriptionThe Test Engineer role will join a growing Test Development team, part of our Test Operations group in support of developing Form's cutting edge Iron-Air battery technology.
Working within this large cross-functional technology group, you will support battery testing, and improve upon + create novel test capability tools and methods that allow Form to have high confidence in its technology development.In this role, you also will drive continuous improvement of test methods and operational factors. You'll act as a source of technical expertise to various internal customer teams - being a valuable contributor towards our goal of enabling a better, smarter grid. Relocation assistance is available.What You'll Do:Support improvement and new capability projects on Form's proprietary battery cycling test standsDevelop new methodology and verification suites for controlling Form Energy's product scale test vehiclesSupport advanced cell and test system troubleshooting + RCAs, Gage R&RVerify reliability of our battery test metadata, ensuring consistent battery performanceWrite and release battery test protocols using Form Energy's in-house test softwareOwn review process of Form test protocolsWhat You'll Bring:2+ years of experience in energy storage systems test engineering or development engineeringBS degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science or equivalent industry experienceWorking experience with transport phenomena/mass flow measurement systemsKnowledge of battery test methods, device/sensorsProficiency in coding and creation of data tools: Python Scripting, SQL, as well as writing advanced battery test scriptsHigh laboratory safety standardsCommitment to excellence, including strong documentation skills/organizational habitsHumanity is a cornerstone of Form Energy's culture, and we make sure our compensation and benefits reflect that.
