Test Automation Engineer (TAE)Client is seeking a Test Automation Engineer (TAE) to work with a Squad to practice the craft of testing in both a manual and automated fashion. This role will contribute to a strategic initiative of building standardized test automation frameworks for each type of application (ETL, API, backend, frontend, etc.). This role will closely partner with the Test Automation Working Group and will be responsible for creating and maintaining code for the squad.
The test automation code created will be based off best practices established and shared by other squads for consistency of patterns, styles and quality of developed code. Scaling test coverage in a consistent manner across squads will assist in modernizing our tech stack and create a quality system that provides significant value to our business end-users. If you are passionate about your craft, we are excited to have you join our growing and maturing team!Responsibilities:Participate in various test practices including but not limited to test incident and defect management, manual testing and test automationCreate and maintain manual and automated tests within the squad that align with organization level and domain level test specificationsWrite code and review others' code, contributing to automated test frameworks, and adding tests to those frameworks for your squad's applicationsContribute to internal guidelines, standards and policies related to the development and test processCollaboration with internal stakeholders to understand, design and implement tests on test objects within the scope of the squadEstablish a working knowledge of technical and business domain within the scope of the squadSupport the release processSkills You Bring:Must have experience utilizing various test design techniques that contribute to testing data qualityExperience working on web-based applications and/or ETL technologiesProficiency in Python and/or Java (familiarity with pytest is preferred)Use of version control to track changes to software test codeKnowledge of PostgreSQLBasic knowledge of CI/CD pipelinesDevelop scripts to automate test executionKnowledge of Agile methodologies, such as ScrumWindows proficiency
