Robinson is an engineering focused organization that provides challenging and exciting opportunities to contribute to the future of vertical flight.The Test and Instrumentation Technician is a member of the engineering team who works with flight test, stress, and design engineers and is responsible for setup, operation, and maintenance of engineering tests in support of the design, development, and validation of helicopter components, structures, and systems.Position Responsibilities:Work with engineering teams to install data acquisition systems that meet the needs of the projectConfigure and install instrumentation on test articles, system test stands, and flight test aircraftCollaborate with engineering to manufacture and set up test fixturesOperate complex test systems to conduct development and certification tests on structures and systemsMaintain systems for storing and post-processing test dataWork with data acquisition systems and control systems to support test data recording and postprocessingUtilize in-depth understanding of test equipment and methods to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of testsQualificationsHands on experience with data acquisition hardware and software in real world testing environmentsA solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, structures, and systems concepts2+ years of experience conducting tests and using test instrumentationExcellent technical recordHands-on experience building and maintaining mechanical and electrical systemsExperience reading and understanding drawings, manuals, reports, schematics, and CAD models.Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsMust be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with strong problem-solving skillsTeam-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and works well with othersPrevious experience with aircraft development and certification testingExperience with NI CompactDAQ, CompactRIO, or DATAQ Instruments data acquisition systemsKnowledge in production methods such as machining, welding, soldering, and harness fabricationA&P License
