The Territory Development Associate is responsible for creating and developing new client opportunities through cold calling, territory canvassing, networking, and in-person visits. You'll be the 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬 — laying the groundwork for lasting client relationships.

▸ 𝐓𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: Plan and execute daily routes across Pittsburgh's core business districts, from Downtown and Oakland to the Strip District, South Side, and North Shore, plus growing markets like Robinson Township and Cranberry, to maximize coverage and identify high-potential areas.

▸ 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐑𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Attend local business events, expos, and chamber of commerce functions to represent Jani-King.

▸ 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠: Book qualified, high-value appointments for the sales team and ensure all details are documented in our CRM system.

▸ 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: Develop strong connections with potential customers through consistent, value-driven communication.

▸ 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰-𝐔𝐩: Revisit prior contacts, inbound leads, and event connections to keep the pipeline active.

▸ 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠: Maintain accurate records of outreach and next steps; track activity against performance goals.
