Terminal OperatorDo you enjoy working outdoors? Are you looking for a stable position? This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-conscious unloading and loading of liquid products to or from trucks, barges, rail cars, and storage tanks.
Assure the work being performed consistently meets or exceeds the expectations of the customer, as well as company policies and procedures. We will develop the right individuals without experience, however experience in terminal operations, transportation, trucking, warehousing, chemicals, maritime, and rail operations is a plus. We offer stability, competitive pay, and an amazing benefits package.Terminal Operator Responsibilities:Work with crews loading and unloading product from trucks, rail cars, barges, and tanksTroubleshoot and diagnose systems and equipmentOperate a variety of bulk handling equipmentWork as a team to plan and execute daily railcar movementsPerform work area/facility housekeeping functionsSample products in tanks, vessels, trucks, and rail carsSafely handle hazardous productsPerform routine maintenance on facility equipmentWork in tandem with team members and management to help maintain and refine terminal processes and proceduresMust be able to obtain a TWIC cardFamiliar with or the ability to learn to use basic hand toolsPerform work in a strict accordance with safety policies, Environmental, and Health proceduresValid driver's licenseTerminal Operator Skills:Ability to read, write, and speak clearlyCompetency with math and computersWilling to obtain training/certifications as required/ neededAbility to work in a dynamic environment to meet customer needsCommunicate effectively orally (face to face and by phone) and in writingAccept supervisor direction and work effectively & co-operatively with other peopleTerminal Operator Working Conditions:Willing to work overtime hours as needed throughout the week, as well as occasional weekends and holidays depending on business demandsAble to withstand weather conditions, as majority of work is performed outdoorsClimb tank stairs, manually open and close valves, occasionally moving or lifting up to 50 lbsMust be able to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of timeMust be able to work at heights and alongside waterEOE/M/F/Disabled/Veteran/DFSP
