Tends tenter frame machine that stretches cloth in width, removes wrinkles and dries cloth after processes for dyeing or finishing.

Tends tenter frame machine that stretches cloth in width, removes wrinkles and dries cloth after processes for dyeing or finishing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to load folded cloth to feed-end of machine.
- Must keep an eye on computer panel and makes sure entire process is operating accurately.
- Ability to turn wheel to adjust clips or pins to stretch cloth to specified width and move lever to control speed of cloth through drying cabinet, to swing-folding attachment.
- Must be able to accurately measure width of cloth emerging from machine.
- Must be able to keep accurate records of yardage clock readings.
- Ability to program and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-year experience in the tenter frame operation preferred.
- Must be familiar with computer operations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with other employees as to status of production.
- Must have high regard for accuracy and quality to minimize wasted product.
- Must maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
- Able to efficiently move around production floor to areas of the tenter frame to check efficiency of material being fed through the machine.
- Must be able to step up on and off tenter frame platform in order to monitor computer systems.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend and stoop as needed.
- Must be able to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of this job.
