Tennessee Licensed Short Term Disability Specialist

Leading the end-to-end adjudication of complex Short Term Disability claims, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Short Term Disability Specialist will collaborate with clinical and vocational resources to support claim decision-making and enhance the return-to-work journey while working remotely. Key Responsibilities Manage a diverse caseload of Short Term Disability claims from intake through resolution, ensuring timely and accurate decisions Collaborate with clinical and vocational partners to develop effective return-to-work strategies and assess benefit eligibility Serve as a subject matter expert on Short Term Disability claim practices, contributing to the design and refinement of internal procedures Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience handling Short Term Disability claims Strong understanding of relevant federal and state regulations (e.g., FMLA, ERISA, HIPAA) Experience partnering with clinical/vocational professionals to support return-to-work efforts Proficiency with claims administration platforms and workflow/documentation tools College degree or equivalent experience preferred
