To support individuals in emotional distress, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Crisis Counselor will provide remote crisis intervention and support through the 988 Crisis Program, assessing suicide risk, delivering compassionate support, and ensuring timely documentation while adhering to clinical and operational guidelines. Key responsibilities Respond to 988 chat, text, and telephone interactions, managing multiple conversations while assessing and mitigating suicide risk Accurately document all visitor interactions and participate in consultations for escalated cases, ensuring compliance with mandatory reporting requirements Engage in ongoing professional development and collaborate with team members to support the onboarding of new staff and maintain communication standards Required qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related mental health field, or equivalent experience Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health, crisis intervention, or a related field Strong empathic listening and reflective communication skills Ability to remain calm and apply logical reasoning in high-stress situations Commitment to non-judgmental, compassionate support for all visitors
