Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Schedule : PRN Nights
13‑Week Temporary Assignment
Flat rate of $60.00 per hour
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will provide high‑quality patient care to a diverse patient population in a 13‑bed rural ED.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the ED.
- Demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span, and assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to their age‑specific needs.
- Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care in a manner which ensures that patient needs are managed efficiently, in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and scope of practice.
- Apply knowledge to practice through participation in performance improvement activities and application of nursing research.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate all care for patients admitted to the ED during shift.
Qualifications
- Current VA or compact RN license.
- One year of Emergency Department experience preferred.
- BLS required within 30 days of hire or prior to completion of orientation if 30 days before hire.
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months.
- Advanced Stroke Course preferred.
