Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED)
Schedule: PRN Nights, 13‑week temporary assignment
Flat Rate: $60.00 per hour
Job Overview
Registered Nurse on the Emergency Services team delivering compassionate care in a 13‑bed rural ER, meeting the needs of patients of all ages while supporting community health advancement.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills required to provide appropriate care to patients across all age groups in the ED.
- Assess patient data and interpret information to identify age‑specific care needs.
- Supervise, coordinate, and delegate patient care to ensure efficient, policy‑compliant delivery within scope of practice.
- Apply nursing research and participate in performance‑improvement activities to uphold professionalism.
Qualifications
- Current VA or Compact RN license.
- Preferred: Minimum one year of ED experience.
- BLS certification required within 30 days of hire (or before orientation).
- ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months.
- Advanced Stroke Course preferred.
- Effective communication and critical thinking skills.
