About the Role:

A leading global financial services firm is seeking an experienced real estate attorney to support its dynamic portfolio of commercial properties. This remote role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact leasing projects—including airport and office space transactions—while advising on ESG initiatives and supporting M&A activity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Commercial Leasing (70%): Draft, negotiate, and review commercial lease agreements for office, hospitality, and specialty spaces. Align lease terms with strategic business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Lease Portfolio Strategy (30%): Conduct in-depth analysis of existing leases to identify risks, obligations, and optimization opportunities. Advise on renewals, terminations, and portfolio management strategies.
• Transactional Support: Assist with real estate due diligence in M&A transactions, including lease abstraction and risk evaluation. Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired assets.
• Property-Related Agreements: Prepare and negotiate service contracts for leased properties, covering operations, maintenance, and vendor relationships.
• ESG & Sustainability Advisory: Provide legal guidance on ESG‑related leasing matters and environmental compliance. Support corporate sustainability goals through real estate strategy and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution; active bar membership required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial real estate law, with a strong focus on leasing.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks and M&A due diligence is a plus.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
