Temporary Patient Service Representative - 410193

Our client is one of the largest vertically integrated ophthalmology administrative services organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region and is seeking a Temporary Patient Service Representative to join their fast-paced office. With more than 80 locations, the organization is looking for a healthcare professional with prior medical office experience, strong customer service skills, and an interest in career growth. Salary/Hourly Rate $The Temporary Patient Service Representative will support front-office operations by managing patient interactions, scheduling logistics, and serving as a liaison between physicians, patients, and clinical teams. The ideal candidate can work well under pressure, take initiative, and provide a welcoming experience while supporting the Office Manager. Responsibilities Of The Temporary Patient Service Representative Assist the Manager with maintaining medical inventory and placing orders for supplies as needed. Maintain a general understanding of billing and insurance processes. Interface with commercial and federal/state payers to verify patient coverage. Enter patient data into PMS and EMR systems. File medical charts. Maintain a clean and organized reception area. Assist other administrative and clinical staff as needed. Provide immediate service recovery by taking ownership of issues, resolving them when appropriate, and escalating to the Office Manager or Front Desk Supervisor when necessary. Required Experience/Skills For The Temporary Patient Service Representative Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Previous medical office experience required. Ability to commute to other local offices as needed. Preferred Experience/Skills For The Temporary Patient Service Representative

3 years of experience in a medical office setting.

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
