Job Title: Full‑Time Teller / New Accounts Representative
This position combines traditional teller and new account duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teller Duties:
- Handle cash transactions and negotiable instruments; verify cash and endorsements, receive proper identification and ensure validity, identify counterfeit currency and fraudulent checks.
- Balance ATMs, cash on hand, drawer activities, daily totals; secure cash and coins per bank policy.
- Consolidate and balance daily transactions.
- Perform transactions such as accepting deposits, processing loan payments, cashing checks, issuing money orders and cashier’s checks.
- New Accounts Duties:
- Work with customers and prospects to build loyalty and deepen relationships by uncovering financial needs and recommending appropriate products.
- Open new consumer and business accounts.
- Take ownership of the customer experience; onboard and resolve service issues.
- Conduct outbound sales activities such as meeting local businesses and attending community events.
- Connect customers to loan, mortgage, treasury management, or investment specialists.
- Follow up with new customers by phone to ensure satisfaction and address additional financial needs.
- Combined Duties:
- Engage customers via lobby and phone to assist, educate, and train them on self‑service technologies.
- Comply with privacy policies and regulatory rules.
- Complete required regulatory compliance training.
- Perform additional duties assigned by management.

Education, Experience, & Licenses
- High school degree or higher – required.
- Minimum 1 year of new accounts experience – preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service and cash‑handling experience – required.
Hours Of Availability
- Monday–Thursday: 7:45 am–5:15 pm
- Friday: either 7:45 am–5:15 pm or 9 am–6 pm
- Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Work Location
Guaranty Bank & Trust – Hallsville, TX. Must live within 30 minutes of the bank’s location.

Physical Demands
Required: sit, use hands in repetitive motions, talk or hear; occasionally stand, walk, lift or reach. Must operate office equipment; perform computer work 6‑8 hours per day; may work extended hours or travel off site. Must have close visual acuity.
