Telestroke Neurovascular Nocturnist

Houston Methodist is seeking a Telestroke Neurovascular Nocturnist to join its nationally ranked Neurology Program. This virtual opportunity involves providing acute nocturnal stroke coverage to Houston Methodist regional sites, which include comprehensive and primary stroke centers. The role focuses on hyperacute stroke management via telestroke, leveraging strong neuroimaging diagnostic and virtual stroke evaluation skills for time-critical care delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide hyperacute stroke management via Telestroke (TNK, ICH, LVO).
• Perform strong neuroimaging diagnostic and virtual stroke evaluations.
• Deliver time-critical care.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals across the system.

Shift & Schedule

• Flexible Schedule: 160-180 shifts.
• Hours: 4pm-7am; 7a-7a weekends/holidays.

Requirements

• Completed Neurology residency.
• Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology with exposure to Telestroke/Teleneurology.
• Eligible for a Texas medical license or currently hold a Texas medical license in good standing.
• Strong interests in academic missions, including high-quality clinical care, education, and research.
• Candidates must reside in TX, LA, FL, TN or WA.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Enhanced virtual care skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
