TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST (REQUIREMENTS)

DutiesApplies mastery of telecommunications networks to Department of Defense High Speed Field Services (DoD HSFS) doctrine, strategic plans and programs.Ensures that telecommunications support facilities/assets are effectively committed and meet operational requirements of DoD HSFS recovery/retrieval, medical evacuation and global rescue operations.With latitude for the exercise of independent judgment, performs duties as DoD HSFS telecommunications technical authority from DoD HSFS Support Operations Center (SOC) and forward deployed locations.Functions as telecommunications technical authority for DoD HSFS training and full mission profile exercises.Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, consultations, and strategy sessions with leaders/elements of USSPACECOM, the Combatant Commands, Military/Service Departments, the Joint Staff, Department of Defense organizations, NASA, and other government organizations to secure cooperation, resolve controversial telecommunication matters, and convey information relative to proposed changes in DoD HSFS operations.
