Other Duties/ Responsibilities
- Develop proof of concept applications to validate proposed solutions.
- Continuously review and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions and propose changes as needed.
- Contract(or) oversight.
- Assist with the establishment and adoption of technology architecture standards and methodologies.
- Write policies.
- Consult with/lead other Senate teams.
- Write RFPs.
- Review and evaluate responses to RFPs.

- 8-10 years’ experience as a lead software engineer and demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.

- Five or more years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow Security Operations (SecOps) and Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
- Eight or more years of experience designing, developing, and supporting core ServiceNow platform components, including CMDB, ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, IRM, and Change Management.
- Agile/Scrum, SDLC, & GitLab: Background in Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle processes, and version control using GitLab.
- Federal Security Standards: Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, and FedRAMP requirements.
- IT Service Management Frameworks: Knowledge of ITIL or related frameworks.
- Upgrade Management: Understanding of ServiceNow upgrade planning, methods, and best practices.
- Cybersecurity Operationalization: Experience operationalizing ServiceNow cybersecurity solutions and modules.
Desired Skills
- ServiceNow SecOps Expertise: Advanced proficiency with Security Incident Response, Vulnerability Response, Threat Intelligence, GRC, and Business Continuity Management.
- ITSM/ITAM/ITOM: Strong understanding of IT service, asset, and operations management principles and best practices.
- Integration Engineering: Experience integrating ServiceNow with third‑party security products using REST/SOAP APIs and ServiceNow IntegrationHub.
- Development Tools: Proficiency with Flow Designer, Service Portal, JavaScript, GlideScript, and related ServiceNow development technologies.
- Web Development: Working knowledge of JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and CSS for ServiceNow UI and portal development.
- Cloud & Infrastructure: Solid understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) concepts.
- Performance Optimization: Demonstrated ability to enhance ServiceNow platform performance, scalability, and reliability.
- System & Database Architecture: Experience with system design, integrations, and database architecture.
- API Development: Skilled in API development, SOA, RESTful services, and JSON.
- Project Leadership: Ability to lead Agile technical projects, mentor team members, and manage competing priorities.
- Communication: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Desired Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in Security Operations or GRC is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus.
