Overview
Deutsche Bank is seeking an individual to join the eDiscovery Services team. The team is responsible for the Bank’s data retrieval, retention, and transfer of electronically stored information to internal requestors and external third parties to meet legal, compliance and regulatory requirements. The role involves managing preservation activities, including quality controls, troubleshooting technical issues, keeping abreast of best practices and new eDiscovery tools, ensuring integrity and discipline in processes.

Skills You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree that is IT‑related or with a legal focus (essential). Master’s degree is preferred. eDiscovery subject matter expert and eDiscovery work experience with a company, law firm, professional service provider.
- Experience in client relationship management. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to positively influence and motivate stakeholders and team members through robust dialogue, facilitation, and persuasiveness. Ability to engage across a range of backgrounds and levels of seniority with the ability to translate technical terms into language that non‑technical persons can understand (essential).
- Exhibit exceptional leadership qualities by setting a clear vision, motivating teams, and leading by an example. Demonstrate unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission, values, and global objectives (essential).
- Extensive experience in executive leadership, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a similar capacity (essential). SQL, BigQuery, programming and/or scripting experience is a plus.
- Detail oriented, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills. Proven experience with identifying opportunities for automation or simplification of repetitive tasks (essential).
What You’ll Do
- Effective communication with stakeholders within and outside their own area of expertise, ensuring transparency and alignment with organizational objectives. Acting as primary point of contact and liaison for preservation requests between the legal team, eDiscovery group, technical staff, business staff and vendors.
- Managing data preservation (or collection) requests, ensuring defined preservation processes are adhered to and recommending improvements.
- Safeguarding the preservation process by ensuring teams are properly trained on the standard processes and procedures, ensuring consistency of process and workflow execution across teams.
- Leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and tactics; responsible for adjusting or recommending enhancements in systems and processes to solve complex problems or improve productivity.
- Managing the work of a team consisting of junior and experienced staff; providing guidance and support to drive high‑performing levels.
- Proactively identifying operational challenges and bottlenecks, defining strategies to mitigate issues promptly with clear communication and escalation; requires hands‑on learning of our processes.
- Producing executive level reports with actionable insights, highlighting key performance metrics and trends.
- Driving compliance with operational standards and best practices to ensure adherence to industry regulations and maintain impeccable record keeping and controls for handling confidential data.
- Developing and presenting trending reports that track performance over time, proposing and implementing solutions based on data‑driven analysis to continuously improve operational processes.
- Operating comfortably within a global team, supporting projects and other regions where data privacy permits.
- Creating and maintaining a cohesive team environment across regions, promoting collaboration, open communication and shared goals; providing leadership, mentorship, and guidance to foster a high‑performing team culture.
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model. Deutsche Bank provides reasonable accommodations to candidates and employees with a substantiated need based on disability and/or religion.
The salary range for this position in Jacksonville is $110,000 to $145,550. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
