Technology Program Manager Consultant – ONSITE – New York City – 6 MonthsNext Generation Inc. is seeking a Technology Program Manager Consultant to support a large-scale public sector transportation client within its Enterprise Strategy & Architecture (ESA) division. This will be a 6 month+ contract, that will be an ONSITE role, in New York City.
This role is critical in driving the execution and delivery of complex, cross-domain technology initiatives aligned with enterprise-wide strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical depth, program governance expertise, and executive communication skills, operating effectively within a highly matrixed environment. The consultant will partner closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cloud, Data & AI, Platform, Network, and Application teams, while interfacing with senior leadership to ensure alignment between technology investments and business priorities.Job Responsibilities:Partner with senior leadership including CTO, Deputy CTO offices, Directors, and cross-functional stakeholdersLead execution of large-scale, enterprise technology programs across multiple domainsDevelop and maintain executive dashboards (Power BI), scorecards, and KPI frameworks for leadership visibilitySynthesize complex program data into executive summaries and actionable insightsBuild and deliver executive-level presentations covering program status, risks, financials, and strategic impactTrack and report on KPIs, project health, and resource allocationConduct capacity planning and resource forecastingEnsure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and IT governance frameworksIdentify system inefficiencies and drive process improvement and reengineering initiativesCollaborate across Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Product, and Operations teamsSupport development of the Enterprise Strategy & Architecture technology roadmapProactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risksDrive continuous improvement and innovation across technology programsManage workload prioritization and resource supply/demand planningEscalate risks and issues to appropriate leadership channelsRequired Qualifications:PMP Certification – RequiredAgile Certification – RequiredCertified Scrum Master (CSM) – RequiredProven experience managing enterprise-level, cross-domain technology programsStrong expertise across:Cloud TechnologiesData & AINetwork InfrastructureApplicationsEnterprise ArchitectureAdvanced proficiency with:Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Planner, Visio, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint)Power BI (dashboard development, KPI design, data analytics)Jira and ServiceNow (project tracking and portfolio reporting)Exceptional communication skills with the ability to deliver executive-level insights and presentationsPreferred Qualifications:ITIL Foundation CertificationExperience working within public sector or highly regulated environmentsDemonstrated ability to operate within large, matrixed organizationsJob Benefits:Competitive pay rate range of between $120 and $130 an hour
