Must haves:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on UI/front-end development (Angular)
• Prior experience leading development teams, technical leads, or engineering organizations
• Deep expertise with Angular and modern front-end application architecture
• Strong understanding of Java and enterprise-level application development
• Ability to lead technical discussions, design reviews, and architectural decisions
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience working in Agile environments
• Ability to remain technically credible despite limited day-to-day coding responsibilities

Plusses:

• Banking or financial services experience
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• CI/CD and DevOps exposure
• Experience modernizing legacy applications

This candidate will provide technical leadership and people leadership for a team delivering enterprise-scale digital applications. The ideal candidate comes from a strong UI/front-end development background with deep expertise in Angular and a solid foundation in Java development. While the role is primarily focused on leadership, strategy, and technical oversight rather than hands-on coding, the individual must possess strong technical acumen and be capable of driving architectural decisions, mentoring engineers, and influencing best practices across the organization.
