Technology Lead Business Analyst, Vice President

Overview

The Technology Lead Business Analyst, Vice President is a senior‑level position responsible for liaising between business users and technologists to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Develop creative technical solutions to meet business needs and manage complex, high volume applications in partnership with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple work stream and applications across geographies for Credit Initiation and Onboarding.
  • Contribute to formulation of strategies/processes for Product Road map, Development and Governance and contribute to defining standards and new automation initiatives.
  • Develop communication to guide, influence and convince others, including colleagues in other areas and external customers.
  • Provide advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business and filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material from multiple sources.
  • Supervise day‑to‑day staff management issues, including resource management, work allocation, mentoring of onsite and offsite resources and other duties and functions as assigned.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  • Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of critical projects, including business discretionary, mandatory, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Chair and drive project‑related meetings, providing clear status reporting on progress, next steps, issues, and risks to all stakeholders.
  • Provide project and program oversight, manage budgets, and resolve day‑to‑day project issues and conflicting workload priorities.
  • Partner with the business to drive technology governance and define clear, documented functional requirements to Citi standards.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to support strategic platform improvements and client requests, including scope definition and dependency mapping.
  • Coordinate with development, testing, and production support teams to plan releases and provide post‑implementation support.
  • Interact frequently with stakeholders at all levels, from junior analysts to senior management, across Front Office, Middle Office, Finance, Compliance, and Risk.
  • Assist and support the user community with change management, ensuring release contents are understood by producing clear release notes and overseeing test case creation.

Qualifications

  • 6-10 years of experience in business analysis or systems analysis.
  • Demonstrated expertise in presenting and using planning tools.
  • Proven diplomatic and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to manage complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact by weighing various action plans and balancing potentially conflicting needs.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience – Required

  • Significant experience in a hybrid Business Analyst / Project Manager role, with a proven delivery record across the full project lifecycle (prioritization, requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment).
  • Demonstrated ability to run multiple projects simultaneously involving both process change and technology enhancements.
  • Strong experience managing competing priorities in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle complex projects independently and thrive in a high‑pressure environment.
  • A self‑motivated and proactive approach with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines according to business needs.

Experience – Preferred

  • Front‑office experience in Equities, particularly Cash Equities.
  • Solid understanding of the full trade life cycle, including pre‑trade, compliance, and regulatory controls.
  • Knowledge of the key functions and processes of the Cash and Delta 1 businesses.
  • Experience delivering regulatory projects and understanding their unique constraints.
  • Exposure to Agile project management principles and methodologies.
  • A keen attention to detail and relevant product knowledge.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; ability to influence.
