Technology Lab SpecialistThe Technology Lab Specialist is responsible for maintaining and managing the school's computer lab. The Technology Specialist oversees the campus's computer lab with oversight by site administration in conjunction with the site leadership team. They supervise students and assist with other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to, student supervision responsibilities such as playground, lunchroom, arrival, dismissal, and crossing guard duties.
Exposure to heat, sun, varying temperatures, and outdoor conditions is a routine part of the work assignment.QualificationsA High School Diploma or equivalent is requiredSixty (60) college credit hours and/or an Associate Arts Degree or higher is preferredIn lieu of an AA degree, provide evidence of a passing score on the Paraprofessional AssessmentValid IVP Fingerprint Clearance CardPossession of an Arizona Substitute certificate or willingness and eligibility to obtain oneProficient with the use of technology, Chromebooks, tablets, desktops, and standard office and educational software, including Google Workspace, Word, ExcelWilling to learn and open to exploring alternate educational resources at the request of administrationKnowledge of standard office equipment (telephones, copiers, printers)Familiarity or willingness to learn and master site-specific software used to support students during instruction, and to develop knowledge of technology as it relates to educationProficient in the English language (reading, writing, and oral communication)Knowledge of Spanish preferredAbility to comprehend and follow directions from written and verbal instructionsKnowledge of arithmetic and basic mathematical proceduresAbility to prioritize work, adhere to time restraints, and attend to multiple tasks on a variety of issuesEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAble to perform duties requiring physical demands, such as reaching, bending, kneelingAble to stand for extended periods throughout the majority of the work day, including outside dutiesPrior experience working with children in an educational setting is preferredAbility and willingness to perform student supervision duties, including outside and lunchroom dutiesMust be able to lift and/or carry up to 30 poundsAlternatives to the above qualifications as the Governing Board or the Superintendent may deem appropriateEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee student instruction and independent work in computer classesAbility and willingness to work with a variety of age levels (Pre-K -
