Top national law firm seeking an IT/technology transactions associate with 3–6 years of experience in information technology matters.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of intellectual property and commercial transactions, including license, service, development, distribution, and partnering agreements.
• Work on the intellectual property aspects of mergers and acquisitions, public offerings, financings, and other multidisciplinary transactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years IT experience with a large national law firm; maximum 6 years of attorney experience.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree; top-tier academic credentials; superior verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• A technical or science background is beneficial, but not required.
• Experience in intellectual property transactions and a strong interest in IP and commercial transactions.
• Lateral candidates from LARGE law firms only; currently practicing in the same practice group.

Location preferences

Preference for Palo Alto, San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, Boston, or Washington, D.C.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $260,000 – $390,000, based on year classification.
• Discretionary merit bonuses may be awarded.
