Technology CoordinatorThe Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Technology Coordinator.
Qualifications and requirements include a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, a New Jersey Permanent Teacher's Certificate, and a minimum of three years successful teaching experience in the Newark Public Schools. Demonstrated technology experience is also required. Basic functions and responsibilities include assisting and supporting schools and teachers in the infusion of technology, participating in activities to encourage students, staff, parents, and community in the involvement of computer technology, planning and conducting staff development sessions and workshops, demonstrating the use of effective teaching practices for teachers and administrators in the area of technology, and establishing and maintaining a process of building-level hardware/software inventory, facilities hardware maintenance, and safety resources. The position reports to the principal and has a salary range of $72,250-114,500 for a ten-month employment period.
