Technology, Communications & Media – Special Counsel (Wireless Regulatory)Direct Counsel is seeking a Technology, Communications & Media – Special Counsel (Wireless Regulatory) to join an Am Law 100 firm's TechComm practice in Washington, DC.This senior-level opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 10+ years of experience handling wireless regulatory and spectrum matters, including significant experience before the FCC.

The role will serve as a key strategic advisor to major wireless and mobility clients and help anchor the firm's growing regulatory platform.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage complex wireless regulatory and spectrum mattersAdvise clients on FCC strategy, compliance obligations, and emerging wireless policy developmentsPrepare and supervise high-level FCC filings and agency submissionsServe as a senior point of contact for key client relationshipsMentor and supervise associates within the wireless regulatory practiceSupport business development initiatives in mobility, infrastructure, and related technology sectorsCollaborate with cross-practice teams on regulatory, transactional, and litigation mattersQualifications:10+ years of wireless regulatory and spectrum experienceDemonstrated ability to independently manage complex FCC mattersStrong client engagement and strategic advisory experienceExperience supervising teams and managing sophisticated regulatory workflowsJD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission (or eligibility for admission) in the District of ColumbiaExcellent written, oral, and organizational skillsWork Environment: Hybrid schedule with approximately 60% in-office attendance.Compensation: $225,000 – $375,000 base salary, plus bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.
