Job Summary
Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in 2 or more specialties.
Job Responsibilities
•
Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
•Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
•Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
•Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
•Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
•Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
•Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
•Completes assigned goals.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

Experience as obtained through completion through Radiology Technology Program
Education
DescriptionMinimum RequiredPreferred/Desired
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
Associates degree in related field.
