Technician AssistantVCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center (SVRC) is seeking a Technician Assistant to support our Emergency & Critical Care (ECC) team. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, compassionate, and eager to learn in a fast-paced emergency environment.What You'll DoAssist technicians and doctors with patient restraint, treatments, procedures, and hospitalized patient careWalk stable patients and report changes to the medical teamClean and disinfect cages, treatment areas, and procedure spacesStock supplies, maintain laundry flow, and support overall department organizationAssist with radiographs, lab testing, surgical prep, and clean-up once trainedFollow hospital safety, sanitation, and infection control protocolsWhat We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years oldStrong communication skills and a professional, team-focused attitudeAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environmentReliable attendance and dependable transportationWillingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating scheduleAbility to lift up to 40 lbs and remain active throughout long shiftsVCA SVRC is a leading specialty and emergency hospital offering hands-on experience in emergency medicine, strong team support, and opportunities for growth within the veterinary field. The pay range for this position is $17.50 to $18.50 per hour.

Compensation is based on experience, skillset and education.
