Technical WriterThe Contingent Plan is actively recruiting an experienced technical writer for a government agency. This is a temporary assignment that is expected to last 12 months.
The role is fully remote to begin, but is expected to be onsite in January 2023. So, the client will only consider candidates that are local or will be local.

Sorry, no sponsorship available at this time.Responsibilities:A strong understanding of the documentation development process, the software development process, and product life cyclesDocumentation of current & future procedures and processesAbility to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and business information to a technical audienceTechnical Writing knowledge of HTML, Java Script and SQL codingAbility to successfully apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts practices, and procedures of technical writingPrepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with business and technical requirementsCandidate must have a clear understanding of how to translate and organize complex technical information into an array of readable formatsTranslate stakeholder requests into formal requirementsDeliver high-quality technical documentation for technical manuals, new development, training manuals, user guide, and system guideRequirements:Must be able to collaborate with Project Manager, Architect, Functional Leads and developers to ensure requirements are communicated, accepted, and meet expectationsAble to start remotely and to begin onsite work when it is required (expected January 2023)Must be able to translate and simplify requirements from stakeholders into written requirement documents for development teamDocuments include but are not limited to: Formal Requirements Document, Functional Design Document, Technical Design Document, Technical Use Cases, Requirements Traceability MatrixMust be able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiencesMust be able to create diagrams, flowcharts, and workflows of business processes and data flow through systemMust be familiar with software and database development conceptsTechnical Business Analyst work on a software/application development teamMust have experience developing technical documentation for enterprise software users, system administrators, and other technical audiencesExperience in creating and maintaining a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentationAnalyze documents to maintain continuity of style of contentStrong experience in mapping business processes into technical documentationStrong experience in creating operational procedures and manualsBenefits: Medical, dental, vision
