The program delivers end-to-end EFIS&T services, including survey and design through installation, security, and testing.
This work spans NIPR and SIPR networks, Wi-Fi, VoIP, ISP/OSP infrastructure, and voice modernization across all CONUS Army installations.We're looking for a Technical Writer who can turn complex systems into clear, usable documentation. You'll work closely with engineers and SMEs to document hardware, software, and operational systems supporting Army network and systems modernization efforts.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys digging into technical details and translating them into documentation that supports real-world implementation and operations.ResponsibilitiesWrite and maintain technical documentation for hardware and software systems, including installation, configuration, and how-to guidesDevelop code documentation, implementation guides, end-user manuals, and data flow / data definition documentationProduce defense acquisition documentation, user manuals, and training materials for DoD systemsInterpret engineering drawings, operational procedures, and maintenance documentation to support accurate technical contentResearch highly technical subject matter and synthesize information from multiple sources into clear, concise documentationCollaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to ensure documentation is technically accurate and operationally relevantSupport documentation efforts for cryptologic or analytic systems, as applicableRequired Experience/QualificationsBA/BS degree (or additional 4+ years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of bachelor's degree)3+ years relevant experience (e.g., authoring and updating documentation related to Operations Support Systems (OSS))Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelAbility to clearly communicate technical concepts to a broad audienceStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation effortsAbility to commute to the required work location daily.Special Requirements/Security ClearanceActive Secret ClearanceSome travel may be requiredPreferred Experience/QualificationsPrior experience supporting DoD or government programsPhysical DemandsAbility to sit and work at a computer for extended periodsEqual Opportunity Employment StatementQBE is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
