Technical Writer/Editor

Help improve next-generation AI systems by evaluating how clearly, accurately, and effectively they communicate. This contract role centers on reviewing AI-generated writing and applying expert editorial judgment to strengthen model outputs.

You will participate in a writing evaluation project, comparing multiple AI-generated responses to prompts and assessing their clarity, tone, helpfulness, instructional value, and adherence to directions. Prior AI experience is not required.

• Evaluate and compare AI-generated responses to writing prompts.
• Assign analytical quality scores and provide detailed, concise rationales.
• Identify ways to improve the quality and instructional value of language-model outputs.
• Assess subtle differences in writing quality, coherence, clarity, tone, and effectiveness.
• Document findings carefully and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project managers and reviewers to deliver consistent, complete work.
• Apply advanced written English skills and critical analysis to support AI-system training.

• Native-level English fluency and exceptional written communication skills.
• Experience in technical writing, editing, or content evaluation.
• Ability to assess clarity, tone, coherence, usefulness, and instruction-following in technical and instructional content.
• Familiarity with digital content-review, annotation, or evaluation platforms.
• Strong critical-analysis skills, thorough documentation habits, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively in virtual settings.
• Experience with AI systems or model-evaluation practices is helpful but not required.

$90 to $140 per hour.
