Duration: 4 - Months (Opportunity for extension)

Pay Rage: $46 - $50/Hr
Role Overview
* The Technical Writer - Adobe FrameMaker will support a technical publications team responsible for creating, maintaining, and updating product documentation, manuals, and technical publications. This role will focus on managing existing FrameMaker-based documentation while supporting ongoing updates, new product documentation, and publication quality standards.
* The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing experience, advanced Adobe FrameMaker skills, and the ability to independently manage documentation updates in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work closely with subject matter experts, engineering teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate, consistent, and delivered within established timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, update, and maintain technical documentation, manuals, and product publications using Adobe FrameMaker.
* Manage updates to existing publications while supporting new product documentation efforts.
* Work from existing source materials and independently complete documentation revisions.
* Ensure documentation follows established writing, formatting, and quality standards.
* Perform document formatting, editing, and PDF production activities.
* Support short-term documentation projects requiring quick turnaround times (including 48-hour update requests).
* Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and subject matter experts to gather and validate technical information.
* Manage documentation updates within shared drives and SharePoint environments.
* Track progress, communicate status updates, and meet assigned deadlines.
* Support publication stabilization efforts for recently migrated and updated content.Maintain accuracy, consistency, and usability across technical publications.
Required Qualifications
* 4+ years of experience as a Technical Writer or Documentation Specialist.
* Strong hands-on experience with Adobe FrameMaker.
* Experience creating and maintaining complex technical documentation.
* Ability to independently interpret existing documentation and make updates with minimal guidance.
* Strong understanding of technical writing principles, editing, formatting, and document production.
* Experience producing professional-quality PDFs and published documentation.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* Experience working within shared document environments such as SharePoint.
* Familiarity with Confluence, MS Teams, andMS Office.
Preferred
* Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides.
* Experience with structured authoring concepts (XML/DITA).
* Experience supporting content migration projects.
* Familiarity with Jira
* Experience working in engineering, software, manufacturing, telecommunications, or other technical industries.
* Experience working within Agile/Kanban environments.
