Faulconer runs on its people and its equipment, in the office and in the field. This role keeps the technology behind that work running. You are the first person our team calls when a laptop, phone, tablet, or application gets in the way of the job — and the person who makes sure it does not get in the way twice.
We are looking for someone who is good with people first and technology second. Field crews, project managers, and office staff all need answers in plain language, without being made to feel behind. If you would rather solve a problem alongside someone than hand them a ticket number, you will do well here.
What You'll Do
- Provide day-to-day support to roughly 700 field and office users by phone, in person, and remotely.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops — hardware, operating system, printing, network connectivity, and peripherals.
- Support Microsoft 365 and the Microsoft stack our teams use every day, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel.
- Support and troubleshoot Workday for HR, payroll, and timekeeping users, and Procore for project teams in the office and on site.
- Set up, configure, and support Apple iOS devices — iPhones and iPads used in trucks, trailers, and on site.
- Manage device enrollment, configuration, security policies, and application deployment through Microsoft Intune and IBM MaaS360.
- Build, image, deploy, and retire hardware; maintain accurate asset and license records.
- Create and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access across systems.
- Document fixes clearly and write short how-to material our team will actually use.
- Travel to jobsite offices and trailers across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina to support field technology in the conditions it lives in.
- Work with the rest of the IT team to spot recurring issues and fix the cause, not just the symptom.
What You Bring
- Strong customer service skills. Patience, follow-through, and the ability to explain a technical issue to a non-technical person without jargon.
- A team-oriented approach. You share what you know, cover for teammates, and take ownership of an issue until it is resolved.
- Three to five years of technical support, help desk, or desktop support experience.
- Hands-on Windows support experience across hardware, software, and networking basics.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Experience supporting Apple iOS devices in a business environment.
- Experience with a mobile device management platform — Microsoft Intune, IBM MaaS360, or similar.
- Clear written communication and the discipline to document your work.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to jobsites.
Nice To Have
- Workday support or administration experience.
- Procore support or administration experience.
- Microsoft Fabric experience.
- Power BI report and dashboard building.
- SQL — writing queries, pulling data, and working with reporting databases.
- Experience supporting construction, heavy civil, or other field-based operations.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, or Intune-related credentials.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Sit, stand, bend, kneel, and crawl to reach hardware, cabling, and network equipment.
- Work in active construction environments, including outdoor conditions, uneven ground, and jobsite trailers. Required personal protective equipment is provided.
- Drive to jobsites within Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
