A candidate placed in this position will be a technical leader in the Networking and Connectivity Solutions Validation Team, focused on bringing advanced connectivity devices to market, including Ethernet switches, USB 3.2 hubs, PCI-Express devices and switches, Automotive Ethernet PHY's, and other connectivity interfaces in excess of 25Gbps.Responsibilities include:Lead development, ownership, and execution of validation strategies and test plans aligned with product requirements, technical risk, customer impact, program schedules, and market needsPerform and lead lab-based validation, including design bring-up, characterization, and interoperability testing for high-speed connectivity devicesReview, analyze, and clearly communicate validation results, debug findings, and recommendations to project and management stakeholdersSpecify and design test environments including software, lab equipment, and test board requirementsServe as a cross-functional validation interface, collaborating closely with Design, Verification, Applications, Marketing and Product Engineering teamsResponsible for leading cross-functional debug and root-cause discussions along with owning and driving JIRA-based debug workflowsSupport customer issue reproduction and escalations by collaborating with Applications and Field Engineering teamsMentor junior validation engineersContribute to continuous improvement of validation processes, metrics, and best practicesRequirements/Qualifications:Job Requirements:Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Experience leading teams of 5 or more direct reports.12+ Years combined experience in one or more of the following: High-Speed Digital design/testingAnalog/Mixed-Signal design/testingSystems design/testingPower IC Design and/or TestPrior experience driving cross functional teams and projectsStrong verbal and written communication skills.Strong organization skills and the ability to develop hardware design specification based on input from multiple stakeholders and specifications.Strong working knowledge of Electronics Lab equipment, e.g., Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer (any protocol)Must be self-motivated and able to work in collaborative group environment or independently.Preferred QualificationsUnderstanding of, and experience with, high-speed connectivity protocols, including, Ethernet, USB (USB 2.0 / USB 3.x), or PCI-ExpressExperience reviewing schematics and layouts for silicon validation or reference boardsPython-based automation for validation, data analysis, or lab equipment controlExposure to IC device characterization and silicon performance analysisTravel Time:0% - 25%Physical Attributes:Feeling, Hearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around OthersPhysical Requirements:80% Sitting, 10% Walking, 10% StandingPay Range:We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
