Technical Service Owner

• Own end-to-end engineering design and implementation for the service
• Lead and manage the delivery team, including day-to-day coordination and execution – prioritize
• Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Engineering stakeholders
• Point of contact to coordinate Affinity tech teams with CW engineering – prioritize
• Drive Scrum ceremonies and ensure strong delivery discipline – Important

Core API Skills

• AS400 / API Skills Required (good to have) – prioritize
• .Net Core, REST API design — endpoints, versioning, status codes - Important
• OAuth 2.0 / JWT authentication and API key management / RBAC
• JSON and XML payload handling and schema mapping – prioritize
• Salesforce REST API and platform event integration – Not a priority
• Service-oriented / microservices communication (good to have)
• IBM MQ message bridging between AS400 and modern services – not used
• API Gateway concepts — rate limiting, throttling, routing
• ETL and data transformation from DB2 for i to JSON
• OpenAPI / Swagger contract documentation

Architecture & Messaging

• Service-oriented / microservices communication (good to have)
• IBM MQ message bridging between AS400 and modern services – not used
• AS400 REST exposure via IBM Integrated Web Services (IWS)
• Insurance carrier API integrations (quote, bind, rate) – prioritize

Testing & Quality

• Functional API test design and execution (good to have with contract testing)
• API performance and load testing
• API mocking and stubbing for AS400 simulation
• Consumer-driven contract testing
