Technical Services Sales RepresentativeThe Technical Services Sales Representative serves as a consultative sales and technical support partner to customers and internal sales teams. This role combines environmental compliance knowledge, waste characterization expertise, and customer-focused sales execution to develop compliant, cost-effective waste solutions. The position supports new business development, expansion of existing accounts, and technical service delivery across hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams.This role works closely with Field Sales, Project Management, Technical Services, and approved TSDF partners to ensure customer solutions meet regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.Sales & Business DevelopmentPartner with Field Sales Representatives to support new customer acquisition and expansion of existing accounts through technical consultation and solution developmentIdentify additional service opportunities within existing customer sites, including waste disposal, profiling, lab packs, wastewater, and special projectsParticipate in customer meetings, site visits, and audits to assess waste streams and recommend appropriate servicesAssist with preparation of pricing inputs, scopes of work, and technical details for proposals and bidsTechnical Services & Waste ExpertisePerform waste characterization, profiling, and classification in accordance with RCRA, DOT, and state regulationsConduct field testing, HazCat assessments, and proper sampling of waste streams at customer locationsCoordinate waste approvals with approved TSDFs to ensure compliant and cost-effective disposal optionsServe as a technical resource to sales and operations regarding waste compatibility, packaging, labeling, and disposal restrictionsSupport lab pack preparation, special waste projects, and customer-specific disposal requirementsCustomer & Internal CollaborationAct as a technical liaison between customers, internal project teams, and disposal vendorsWork closely with Project Managers, Logistics, and Billing to ensure accurate waste documentation, drum counts, and invoicingMaintain accurate and complete documentation including manifests, bills of lading, labels, profiles, and land disposal restriction formsSupport customer satisfaction through responsive communication and high-quality technical guidanceCompliance & SafetyMaintain compliance with all DOT, EPA, state, and local environmental regulationsPromote and adhere to all company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and proceduresIdentify and escalate safety or compliance risks to appropriate leadershipKnowledge & SkillsStrong working knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and environmental compliance requirementsAbility to explain technical concepts clearly to customers and non-technical audiencesConsultative sales mindset with strong customer relationship skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office and waste tracking or profiling systemsExcellent organization, documentation, and time management skillsExperience3+ years of experience in environmental services, waste management, or technical salesHands-on experience with hazardous and non-hazardous waste characterization and disposalFamiliarity with TSDF operations, waste profiling, and regulatory documentationEducationBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field preferredEquivalent industry experience may be considered in lieu of degreeWork EnvironmentAbility to travel to customer sites, including industrial environmentsAbility to wear required PPE and perform site walk-throughsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.
