Onsite Contract Sales

We are seeking a technically capable and commercially driven Technical Sales Manager to grow our relay business in American markets through a direct-sales model. The successful candidate will combine an engineering background with hands-on B2B direct sales experience and a strong understanding of relay products and their applications. This role focuses on building and managing direct relationships with OEMs, Tier suppliers, and end-use customers. Experience serving customers in home appliances, solar photovoltaic (PV), energy storage, and EV charging is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute direct sales plans for relay products within assigned industries, accounts, and territories.
  • Identify, qualify, and win new business directly with OEMs, Tier suppliers, contract manufacturers, and engineering partners.
  • Manage the complete direct sales cycle, including prospecting, needs discovery, technical presentations, product selection, samples, quotations, commercial negotiation, design-in, and mass-production follow-up.
  • Translate customer electrical, mechanical, environmental, reliability, compliance, and cost requirements into suitable relay solutions in cooperation with engineering and product teams.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders at direct accounts, including engineering, purchasing, quality, program management, and executive management.
  • Develop opportunities in home appliances, solar PV, energy storage systems, EV charging equipment, and related power-control applications.
  • Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, account plans, forecasts, visit reports, and competitive intelligence; provide regular business updates to management.
  • Coordinate internal resources to resolve technical, quality, delivery, and commercial issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products, pricing, and emerging application requirements; recommend product and go-to-market actions.
  • Represent the company at customer visits, trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events; travel within the assigned territory as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5–8 years of relevant professional experience, including technical direct sales, business development, key account management, application engineering, or a closely related customer-facing role.
  • Practical knowledge of relay products, such as PCB power relays, automotive relays, latching relays, signal relays, or high-voltage DC contactors, including key selection parameters and application considerations.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with customers, products, or projects connected to home appliances and/or the solar PV, energy storage, and EV charging industries.
  • Ability to read and discuss technical specifications, drawings, schematics, qualification requirements, and test reports with customer engineers.
  • Proven ability to develop new direct accounts, manage long and technically complex sales cycles, and convert design-in opportunities into revenue.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
  • Professional fluency in English and authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel approximately (25–40%).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing direct customer relationships in the home-appliance, solar PV, energy-storage, EV-charging, power-electronics, or electrical-component ecosystem.
  • Experience selling electronic or electromechanical components through a direct-sales model to OEMs, Tier suppliers, and end-use customers.
  • Knowledge of applicable safety, quality, and product-certification expectations, such as UL, IEC, automotive, or customer-specific requirements.
  • Experience working effectively in an international and cross-cultural organization; Mandarin Chinese is a plus but is not required.
