Working with our Technology teams, you will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with the company's strategy, commitments, and goals.Key ResponsibilitiesOnce the objective is communicated to you – work with the stakeholders to define scope, identify milestones, dependencies, risks and unknownsDeveloping project plans with well-defined tasks, estimates, owners and dependenciesUnderstand deadlines and assess if project timelines can be accelerated. Validate assumptions with the stakeholders and communicate to program managementConduct effective meetings with clear agendas and always send meeting notes capturing action items, risksFollow up on take away action items or risks identified in meetingsMake effective use of stakeholders' timeProduce weekly status reports for executive teamCollaborate with program management to communicate status, dependencies, risks and issues with other pods / teamsWorking on a variety of projects including software development, software selection, software implementation, upgrade, technical (infrastructure or systems related), and moreTracking project progress against the project plan and ensure any deviations are communicated to broader stakeholdersProactively managing project risks and issues; creating risk response plans as neededWorking directly with the external teams to remove any impedimentsProviding management, direction, and support to the project teamWorking with outside vendors and contractors, monitoring and reporting on their progress in completing deliverablesCollaborate with other members of the PMO on shared risks, dependencies, conflicting prioritiesCore Strengths5+ years of project management experience/educationPrior experience as a Technical PM, Systems analyst, IT business analyst or hands on developer will be valuablePrior experience with at least several of the following is desirable; server buildouts, network infrastructure initiatives, InfoSec initiatives, Data management initiatives, Cloud initiatives, and other Enterprise wide initiativesPrior experience managing projects in an Agile environment, preferably using Scrum, is a plusAbility to use project management productivity tools effectively (Microsoft Project Professional and Project Online, Excel, PowerPoint, TFS)A self-starter; able to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented collaborative environmentDemonstrated leadership skills; able to lead and direct a project team to successStrong and clear communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)Able to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesPersuasive, adaptable, encouraging, and motivatingAdditional Skills and KnowledgeProject Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus; otherwise, plans to achieve certification within one year of employmentFinancial services experience a plus
