A premier technology consulting firm is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to join their team in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves overseeing complex digital initiatives within the public sector and requires a candidate with an active security clearance.
The successful candidate will take charge of the full project lifecycle, focusing on data systems, analytics platforms, and software implementations. You will serve as the primary bridge between technical delivery teams and client leadership, ensuring that every milestone aligns with broader strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the planning and delivery of technical workstreams from inception to completion.
- Manage schedules, resource allocation, and budget tracking for diverse projects.
- Organize and lead Agile ceremonies, including daily standups and sprint reviews.
- Turn high level business needs into detailed technical requirements for engineering teams.
- Proactively identify and resolve project risks and dependencies.
- Produce executive level status reports and performance briefings for stakeholders.
- Support organizational change initiatives, including training and user adoption strategies.
Required Qualifications
- You must possess a current and active Secret level security clearance.
- A minimum of five years of experience managing technical projects within a consulting or government environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams of analysts, developers, and engineers.
- Ability to work on site with the client as required, with occasional travel up to ten percent.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Professional certifications such as PMP, CSM, or PMI ACP are highly desirable.
- Prior experience supporting Navy operations or naval maritime systems.
- Expertise in modern project management methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
- Proficiency with Jira for backlog management and workflow tracking.
- Strong history of managing data integration or complex analytics projects.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and executive audiences.
