IT Project Lead

Location: Lansing, MI

Our client, a highly rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated and organized Project Lead to oversee the day-to-day operational and tactical execution of company projects. This individual will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and deliverables, identify potential risks, and ensure projects align with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities and workflows involving multiple team members and departments.
• Develop, maintain, and execute project plans to meet evolving business needs, timelines, and requirements.
• Identify necessary project resources and collaborate with leadership to delegate responsibilities and assign tasks.
• Prepare, review, and organize project documentation and deliverables before distributing materials to stakeholders.
• Apply project management methodologies, processes, and best practices to drive successful project execution.
• Conduct risk assessments, identify potential roadblocks, and recommend strategies to mitigate project risks.
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date project documentation and records.
• Monitor project progress to ensure deliverables align with stakeholder expectations and established objectives.
• Facilitate team meetings, encourage collaboration, and help resolve project-related challenges.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with individuals across different teams, backgrounds, and experience levels.
• Proven track record of successfully managing individual projects and delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including preparing routine reports and project correspondence.
• Experience facilitating team meetings, navigating project conflicts, and driving productive discussions.
• Ability to understand complex project concepts, evaluate challenges, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate team members, encourage accountability, and inspire teams to achieve shared goals.
