Use appropriate project management tools, reports, templates, mentoring, training, and coaching to IT project teams. Work directly with staff, as well as vendors and, when necessary, other state agencies in fulfilling and carrying out the requirements of assigned IT projects.
Utilize project management best practices, including risk management, quality management, change management, change control and communication. Manage by providing leadership, collaboration, supervision, training, guidance and support to all IT project team members on assigned projects. Lead the effort for ensuring agency compliance with the State’s project management policies and standards.
Establish and maintain processes for managing scope during the project lifecycle, setting quality and performance standards and assessing risks Develop and maintain partnerships with third-party resources, including vendors and contractors Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels and escalate issues, as necessary, according to project work planQualifications5+ years of project management across multiple platforms and paradigms with agile process management, financial management, resource management, and demand management capabilities3+ years of experience with running large/complex projects with multiple dependenciesExperience in the public sector and Human Services is a plusPMP certification is a plusTechnicalStrong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detailStrong understanding of cloud computing concepts, platforms, and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)Exposure to and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) using ScrumFamiliarity with cloud governance frameworks and best practicesSkillsMS Project/Project Planning/Document TemplatesGoogle Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Draw,...)Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) Platforms Software
