Technical Program Manager (ERP Go-Live) | Contract

Pay Range: $50/hr to $70/hr (NEGOTIABLE BASED ON Experience)
About the Role
Our client is in the final stages of an ERP go-live and needs help getting across the finish line. We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Program Manager to work directly with the VP and bring structure, clarity, and execution discipline to the program. This is not a status-tracking PM role. You’ll step into a high-pressure environment, cut through the noise, and drive the program to a successful launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP to own end-to-end execution of the go-live
- Consolidate priorities across workstreams (functional, technical, data, integrations, testing, cutover) into one clear plan
- Identify blockers and risks early, then drive mitigation and escalations to resolution
- Make and communicate tough prioritization and deprioritization calls
- Lead cross-functional execution across business teams, IT, the implementation partner, and vendors
- Engage in deep technical discussions (integrations, data migration, configuration, testing, cutover) and translate them into decisions for leadership
- Run go-live readiness, defect triage, UAT, and cutover planning
- Provide crisp, honest reporting to executives on status, risks, and decisions needed
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in program/project management, with significant TPM experience
- Hands-on ERP implementation experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Dynamics) through at least one full go-live
- Strong technical depth: integrations, data migration, environments, testing, cutover
- Proven record of recovering or landing complex programs under tight timelines
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management
- Comfortable making decisions with incomplete information
- Willing to work 100% onsite in Tennessee
Preferred
- Experience rescuing troubled or at-risk ERP programs
- Experience working alongside system integrators and implementation partners
- Manufacturing, supply chain, or finance ERP domain exposure
